Next-generation multi-sensor systems
The Geodetic Institute (GIH) at Leibniz Universität Hannover teaches and conducts research in the fields of Engineering Geodesy and Geodetic Evaluation Methods as well as Land and Property Management.
The key research areas and fields of activity in the areas of engineering geodesy and geodetic evaluation methods include the quality assessment of data and measurement systems, terrestrial laser scanning, geodetic monitoring of objects, efficiency optimisation and control of measurement processes, and the application of evaluation methods (filtering, parameter estimation).
The area and real estate management offers implementation-oriented strategies and cooperative solutions for the sustainable development of villages and towns as well as developed and undeveloped properties in urban and rural areas. It also ensures the expert valuation of real estate and - by analysing its spatial-temporal development - the transparency of real estate markets.

Promotionsverfahren von Matthias Bode erfolgreich abgeschlossen
Das Promotionsverfahren von Dipl.-Ing. Matthias Bode wurde am Mittwoch dem 07. Oktober 2020 erfolgreich abgeschlossen.
Die letzte Phase des Promotionsverfahrens begann mit einem halbstündigen Promotionsvortrag mit dem Thema "Energetische Schädigungsanalyse von ermüdungsbeanspruchtem Beton". Im Anschluss verteidigte Herr Matthias Bode seine Dissertation in einer mündlichen Prüfung.
Die Promotionskommission bestand aus den Professoren Marx (Institut für Massivbau, TU Dresden), Mark (Lehrstuhl für Massivbau, Ruhr-Universität Bochum), Haist (Institut für Baustoffe, LUH) sowie Achmus (Institut für Geotechnik, LUH).
