    Job Summary

    Nowadays, robotics has attracted a considerable amount of attention. The reason for this is the ability of robots to assist people in their daily lives. Examples of such assistance are moving objects from one place to another, taking measurements in different environments for engineering purposes, etc.
    In this student job, we offer the opportunity to interact more with a specific robot and to study its different aspects for a better performance. Therefore, it is well suited for those students who already have some initial knowledge about robots and are eager to learn and investigate more in this area.
    The initial contract is based on 20 hours per month for 3 months. After that, the contract can be renewed with an increased number of hours by mutual agreement.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform literature reviews related to the main tasks of the job
    • Simulate robotic environments to test desired algorithms
    • Participate in real-world measurement campaigns
    • Assist in the execution of various analyses
    • Frequently record the results of the investigations with the goal of having a well-structured archive

    Qualifications

    • Master students in robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or geodesy and geoinformatics
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS)
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Python or C++
    • Familiarity with LaTeX
    • Familiarity with PowerPoint and Excel
    • Intermediate to advanced English
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of German
