Abstract

Land and real estate management as an action-oriented component of spatial development and land policy includes all planning and development processes as well as evaluation and regulatory measures for the use of land structural facilities. For this purpose, it uses the required legal instruments, economical and engineering methods and forms of governance. Thus, it supports sustainable land use as well as the functionality of the real estate market. In the following, the self-image of land and real estate management is represented by means of central terms and their developments, current and future challenges as well as central fields of activity in science and practice.
